Tossed Salad with Mandarin Oranges and Almonds

2 tablespoons minced parsley
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon evoo
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
8 cups torn romaine lettuce
3 celery stalks, sliced
8 scallions, sliced
one 11-oz. can mandarin oranges, drained
2 tablespoons sliced toasted almonds

1. For dressing, combine first 7 ingredients in a small jar and shake well.

2.. In a large bowl, toss together remaining ingredients with dressing.
